SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for various positions in the SSC CHSL Exam 2024, candidates must meet specific educational requirements by 1st August 2024. For roles like Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding certain Departments/Ministries), a 12th Standard certificate from a recognized Board or University is mandatory. Aspiring Data Entry Operators (DEOs)/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Culture should have passed the 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or its equivalent.

Applicants interested in these positions must be aged between 18 to 27 years, which means they should have been born between 02-08-1997 and 01-08-2006 to be considered eligible. Furthermore, age relaxation beyond the upper age limit is possible based on the established regulations.

SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Salary Package

The salary packages for different positions in the SSC CHSL Exam 2024 are as follows:

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) are placed in Pay Matrix Level-2, with a basic pay of Rs. 19,900. When stationed in metropolitan areas, the total salary reaches Rs. 37,845.
  • Data Entry Operators (DEO) fall under Pay Matrix Level-5, receiving a basic pay of Rs. 29,200. In metro cities, their total salary stands at Rs. 57,960.
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade A, are categorized in Pay Matrix Level-4, with a basic pay of Rs. 25,500. If assigned to metro cities, their total salary comes to Rs. 51,300.
