Dearness Allowance for KVS Teachers and Staff
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, a well-respected educational body, has recently announced an exciting update: all staff, both teaching and non-teaching, within the KVS framework will see a substantial rise in their salaries. Starting January 1, 2025, a notable 50% Dearness Allowance has been sanctioned for every employee, irrespective of their job title.
This new financial perk will be calculated as 50% of their Basic pay, ensuring equitable compensation across the board for all KVS personnel. To ease any financial pressure, the Dearness Allowance for the first two months—January and February—will be disbursed as arrears, while the allowance for March will be included in the next salary payment.
KV Teachers First Month Salary: Updated May 2025
A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) working at a Kendriya Vidyalaya in urban areas can expect to earn around Rs. 91,080 as a gross monthly salary, prior to any deductions. However, there will be two initial deductions applied: the NPS and CGEGIS.
