HSRP Number Plate Odisha 2024: The installation of High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) will be exclusively handled by vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) and their approved dealers. Only the designated HSRP provider authorized by the OEMs will be responsible for supplying the plates to their approved dealers. The process of affixing HSRP on older vehicles will be taken care of by the authorized dealers of the OEMs.
In order to ensure transparency and avoid any instances of overpricing, vehicle owners are required to schedule the installation of HSRP and make payments through an online platform endorsed by the OEM. Through this portal, owners will have the flexibility to select a dealer, location, and a suitable installation date. Additionally, regular updates regarding the status of their orders will be sent to owners via SMS through the authorized portal.
OEMs or their dealers are mandated to display the costs associated with HSRP installation prominently at their showrooms and on the dedicated HSRP portal to uphold transparency. If owners consent, they may be given the option of availing additional services for installing HSRP at a different location for an extra charge.
Following the attachment of HSRP, OEMs or their dealers must update the laser code in the VAHAN portal. Vehicles lacking a valid Registration Certificate, Fitness Certificate (for Transport Vehicles), or those with outstanding tax liabilities will not be allowed to have HSRP installed by OEMs or their authorized dealers. OEMs are required to make necessary adjustments to their portal in accordance with these guidelines.
