Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme 1980: CGEGIS Benefit Table for the savings fund from 1.7.2024 to 30.9.2024
CGEGIS Benefit Table for the Savings Fund, provided to beneficiaries under the Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme-1980, will be issued quarterly starting from January 1, 2017. For the quarter covering July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, these tables have been calculated by the IRDA, taking into account an interest rate of 7.1% per annum (compounded quarterly) as announced by the Department of Economic Affairs.
The accompanying tables are categorized into two types, in line with standard practice. Consistent with previous arrangements, the first Table of Benefits for the scheme’s savings fund is calculated based on a monthly subscription of Rs. 10 from January 1, 1982, to December 31, 1989, and Rs. 15 per month from January 1, 1990, onwards. The second Table of Benefits pertains to a monthly subscription of Rs. 10 for employees who opted out of the revised subscription rate effective from January 1, 1990.
