All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025
The Sainik Schools Society (SSS), functioning under the Ministry of Defence, is an autonomous body that manages a network of Sainik Schools. These institutions are English-medium residential schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Their mission is to prepare young cadets for entry into prestigious military training academies, including the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla (Pune) and the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, among others. Currently, there are 33 such Sainik Schools spread across India.
Admissions to Sainik Schools are available for Class VI and Class IX, determined by candidates’ scores in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has sanctioned the establishment of 35 new Sainik Schools, which will collaborate with NGOs, private educational institutions, and state governments. These newly approved schools will also fall under the Sainik Schools Society and will admit students into the Sainik School system for Class VI through the AISSEE in 2025.

AISSEE School Eligibility and Admission Process 2025
