EWS/DG Admission 2025-26: Required Documents in Delhi

An Income Certificate issued by a Revenue Officer of at least the rank of Tehsildar, or a BPL/AAY/Food Security Card issued by the Food and Civil Supply Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, is required for the application process. Additionally, applicants must provide a SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate issued by a Revenue Officer of at least the rank of Tehsildar from the Government of NCT of Delhi. RTE Admission Distance Requirements in Delhi

Individuals are required to access the system using their unique ID/Registration No. and Password in order to identify the nearest schools. Upon reaching the Step-I page, they will be presented with the details submitted during registration. They must then enter their residential address and proceed to choose the appropriate Assembly constituency (Vidhan Sabha) and Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub Locality from the provided drop-down menu. By submitting this information, they will receive a list of nearby schools categorized by distance ranges (0-1, 1-3, 3-6, >6 Kms.) upon clicking on the Step-2 to Step-5 buttons.

Should a specific Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub Locality not be listed in the drop-down menu, individuals are advised to select the nearest available option. They may select up to six schools within a 6 Km radius, with a maximum of five schools situated beyond 6 Kms.

The online admissions process for Economically Weaker Section/Disadvantaged Group Children in Private Unaided Recognized Schools in Delhi will be administered through a Computerized Lottery/ Draw of Lots System.

2025-26 Delhi RTE School Admission Age Criteria

The deadline for the Delhi RTE School Admission process for the 2025-26 academic session is March 31, 2025. Parents who wish to enroll their children under the EWS/DG category must ensure that their child meets specific age requirements for the Entry Level Classes. Children applying for Nursery/Pre-school should be aged between 3 and 5 years as of March 31, 2020. Similarly, for KG/Pre-Primary, the age range is from 4 to 6 years by the same date. For admission to Class-I, children should be within the age group of 5 to 7 years by March 31, 2020.

RTE Delhi Admission 2025-26 for Class 6 to 8

The Delhi RTE Admission 2025-26 for Classes 6 to 8 establishes clear admission criteria. Candidates seeking admission to Class VI must have successfully completed Class V, with direct admission granted to those who have been promoted or declared pass. The Delhi RTE Admission 2025-26 for Class 11 provides general admission guidelines for students transitioning to classes XI. Students who have passed the Secondary School Examination are eligible for admission in any stream of Class XI. Similarly, students who have cleared their Class X examination from NIOS with a minimum of 50% marks in 5 main subjects can seek admission in Humanities without Skill subjects.
