OROP 3 Pension Arrears Will Be Paid Within One Financial Year
OROP 3 Pension Arrears Calculation 2024 PDF: On July 10, 2024, the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, part of the Ministry of Defence, announced an update regarding pensions for Defence Forces Personnel and Family Pensioners under the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme. This adjustment will take effect from July 1, 2024, following the guidelines established in the Ministry of Defence’s letter dated November 7, 2015.
For those who retired earlier, their pensions will be recalibrated based on the pensions of Defence Forces retirees from the year 2023. This new calculation will apply starting from July 1, 2024. The revised pension will be determined by averaging the minimum and maximum pensions for their respective ranks and lengths of service as seen in 2023.
Any arrears owed will also be calculated and disbursed within the same financial year.
